In fact that's also the case with MT Power Drum kit. With AD2 there's a fixed number of VSTi mixer channels so a Reaper template is easier. You're correct and I've got a Reaper template for AD2 and a few specific cases for some of the others. If I cant get a sound out of that lot, I put the computer away. My current Drum bus consists of a multi out SSD5 kit, and an instance of Unify (pluginguru) which is hosting 5 other kits in a stereo mix, NA drums, Sitala, MTpower, LABS, and Anarchy drums. I find that setting up a Drum Bus and saving the bus as a track template means when I have an idea, it is easy peasy to just import the whole bus (folder with subfolders containing multi out vst's,) There are quite a few already done in Reaper stash. There is, do it once and save - both as a mix template, and a track template. Maybe there's a way of doing it that I haven't spotted yet. As I said, not a big deal, but it would save a bit of faffing about. It would be good to hit a button that would give me the options I might want to auto create the output channels within the drum VSTi mixer. This applies to BFD3, AD2, SSD5 and NI Drums. and that creates the Reaper channels.īut after that I have to manually set up the output routings in the Drum VSTi mixer. In Reaper I can select Fx>Options>Build multichannel routing for output of selected Fx. Not a big deal, but a quick way of setting up multi-outs would be useful.
